Railway Engineering Knowledge Sharing
The Tung Chung Line Extension project team introduced the project and shared railway and engineering knowledge with over 60 secondary school students at the “2025 Islands District Youth Camp” during the summer. Students actively participated in Q&A sessions, showing interest in railway construction.

In mid-November, about 40 Tung Chung residents from the Outlying Islands Women’s Association visited the “MTR Future Rail Explorer” exhibition at the MTR Gallery in Kowloon Station, learning about new railway projects. Many expressed anticipations for the completion of future railways.

In early December, the Hong Kong branch of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Youth Division visited the Tung Chung West Station site, studying railway construction and innovative engineering solutions in developed communities, fostering professional exchange.

Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival for Inclusion
In mid-September, the project team supported local Mid-Autumn Festival events, distributing mooncakes to residents of Yat Tung Estate and Mun Tung Estate, celebrating the festival and spreading blessings.

From late September to early October, the team visited The Salvation Army Lam Butt Chung Memorial School and Po Leung Kuk Cheung Pan Mei Yi Kindergarten, making paper lanterns with students to pass on Mid-Autumn traditions.

Mosquito Prevention and Move-in Support
The project team actively participated in the Islands District’s mosquito prevention campaign in August, helping prevent the spread of Chikungunya fever in Hong Kong and safeguarding community health. The team also supported the move-in assistance campaign at Cheung Tung Estate, helping residents settle in smoothly and demonstrating care and support for the community.
